Information Technology (NCIT), started in 2001 is an accredited premier institute offering education in computer science to its students located at Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab state of India. This affiliated college is committed to quality education in information technology and commerce. NCIT provides four full time courses for its students, two of which is at undergraduate level and two at postgraduate level to ensure that it provides a course appropriate to the needs of each student. It reveals the fact that the given institution tries to create suitable conditions for studying through the availability of necessary equipment and orientation to the students’ needs. Students enrolled at NCIT have the opportunity to use a great number of materials aimed at improving the learning process.

College library being an information center has about eleven thousand titles and thirty-eight thousand volumes. It also get 220 national journal and 600 international journals that lets student update themselves on the new research and development in their area of specialization. This facility has computers and internet connection for Wi-Fi and students can easily browse e-journals and do online searching.

The library includes leading state and national newspapers, along with 48 magazine subscriptions, available in a large and quietly tucked- away reading area for those who enjoy traditional media. The IT structure adopted by the college is quite impressive, given the fact that the college focuses on technology. The computer labs have all licenses for Windows 7, WAMP Server, Microsoft Office and C, C++, Java and Visual Basic.

Students also get exposed to tools such as Oracle 10g and different CASE tools which enable the students have real life experience on different technologies used in the market.NCIT offers four main courses: , B.Com (Hons,), BCA, M.Sc (IT), and PGDCA.
