Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College is a pioneering organisation in the field of nursing education that was started in the year 2007 at Puducherry, India. This is a co-educational college that is affiliated with the local university and can complete a list of nursing programmes endorsed by INC. Spread over five acres of land, the college has 428 total student ’enrolments and 51 faculties. Due to its philosophy on quality education in nursing, the college offers 7 courses in 3 programme levels which deal with different aspects of nursing care and health sciences.

Sri Manakhula Vinayagar Nursing College has Teleule has boasted of several facilities to improve visibility to the students in order to catch up with relevant current trends in the market. The laboratories are well-equipped to train the B.Sc. Nursing students; it provides an actual picture that gives an experience to the students before they are actually exposed to the clinical area. These labs are equipped with both human simulators, manikins and specimen models; procedural models with modern instruments create a chance for learners to practise nursing procedures. The college has a well-equipped library which contains more than 4500 nursing and related science books, Indian and foreign current journals required for the student needs for all courses. To make sure that the students have a comfortable stay, hostels are provided for both male and female students in turn; all are well-furnished and air-conditioned, and we offer hygienic foods for the students to bake.

The programmes offered in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College include different nursing courses that meet different educations. The college presently offers 7 full-time programmes, which are undergraduate and postgraduate courses. At the undergraduate level there are 100 seats in the four-year B.Sc. Nursing and 30 seats in the two-year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. For further learning, the college offers the following M.Sc. Nursing specialisations with three seats each: Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing. It is regrettable, but the total approved intake in all classes is 145 students per year, which indicates that the college consistently focuses on the quality of education and individual approach.
