Bethesda College of Education, Kanyakumari

Bethesda college of Education is one of the prestigious institutions in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu aimed at carving better future in education. This women college was established in 2007 and for more than one decade, it has been training would-be teachers. Located on an area of 2,77,000 sq ft, the college provides a concentrated educational setting for 100 students that study in the college. Bethesda is affiliated and has a faculty of 13 highly qualified educators to provide quality and focused learning and teaching. It is recognised by the relevant educational bureaus and has the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) that sets higher standards for educational institutions.

Bethesda College of Education offers one primary course, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This course is a two year full time and/or modular programme that has a main objective to produce competent teachers. On this front, the college has an approved capacity to take only one hundred students in this programme, which indeed gives the institution a focused role in producing teachers in the country. This specific service provides the institution the opportunity to channel it’s resources and focus in providing optimum performance in preparing teachers.
