BLDEA’s AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, which was set up in 1955 and is one of the premier Ayurvedic colleges in Vijayapura, Karnataka. This affiliated college, recognised by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), offers a number of Ayurvedic courses at its 15 acre campus. The institute currently has 299 students and 50 members of staff, giving the institute the right environment for the training of Ayurvedic doctors. The university is affiliated with RGUHS. The college teaches 6 programmes at 2 levels of degrees and focuses on different aspects of the Ayurvedic system of medicine.
