There are NO GD-PI-WAT rounds for JIPMAT admission at IIM Bodh Gaya. The selection is purely merit-based based on scorecard and academic performance. IIM Jammu’s process is slightly different and includes additional criteria.

Step 4: Merit List Publication and Shortlisting

The merit lists at both IIMs are released in multiple rounds. IIM Bodh Gaya released 14 lists across July and September in 2025. This rolling approach means students who do not make the first list may still receive offers in subsequent rounds as earlier-admitted students withdraw.

WAT preparation for IIM Jammu: A 20-minute structured essay on a business or social topic. Clear position-taking, specific examples, and structured argument flow are the three elements that separate strong WAT responses from weak ones. Practice writing 200-word essays under timed conditions.
PI preparation for IIM Jammu: Interviewers assess intellectual curiosity, career motivation, awareness of current affairs, and understanding of the IPM programme’s structure. A candidate who cannot explain why they want an IIM MBA at age 17 instead of pursuing it after graduation will consistently underperform in this round.
Step 6: Document Verification
Candidates must submit academic and identity documents.
Prepare these documents before the merit list is even published. Having them ready removes the time pressure that causes errors during submission.

- Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate

A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Jammu has to pay an offer acceptance amount of Rs 50,000 within the stipulated date. If a candidate accepts the admission offer for the programme, his or her offer acceptance amount will be adjusted against the Semester I fee.
Candidates who withdraw their admission by August 2, 2026, will receive a refund after a ₹1,000 processing deduction. No refund of the offer acceptance amount or semester fee will be provided for withdrawals made after the registration process.
Read both IIM’s refund policies carefully before paying. The withdrawal deadline is the most financially consequential deadline in the entire JIPMAT admission process.
