Introduction

The AIMA UGAT 2026 result was declared between June 21 and 24, 2026, and participating institutes have started counselling. If you’re preparing for UGAT 2027 or getting ready for this year’s GD-PI rounds, this guide explains the exam pattern, timeline, and counselling process.

The All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts UGAT once a year for admission to BBA, BCA, BHM, B.Com, and Integrated MBA programmes at participating private management institutions across India.

What AIMA UGAT Is and Why It Matters for UG Management Admission

AIMA Undergraduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a common entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programmes such as Integrated MBA, BBA, BCA, and BHM and other courses. The UGAT exam is conducted in a paper-based test mode by the All-India Management Association (AIMA).

Unlike CUET, which covers a broad range of universities, UGAT is accepted by AIMA member institutions. Candidates can send their UGAT 2026 scores to up to five participating colleges and also use their personal scorecard to apply to other institutes.
(

This score-sharing structure gives UGAT a practical advantage: you register once, nominate five colleges, and your scorecard reaches them automatically without separate applications.

UGAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply

Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks. Students awaiting their results can also apply, and there is no age limit for UGAT 2026.

The eligibility criteria are identical across all categories, with no caste-based percentage concession. This makes UGAT accessible to any Class 12 pass or appearing candidate without the complexity of category-wise cutoffs that state exams often involve.

UGAT 2026 Application and Exam Fee Structure

AIMA UGAT registration 2026 is online at apps.aima.in/ugat2026. The application fee is ₹750 for each category candidate. Payment is accepted via credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or demand draft.

The exam centres cover 18-plus cities including Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Bhubaneswar, giving candidates nationwide access without requiring relocation for the exam day itself.

What Happens After UGAT 2026 Result: Counselling Process Explained

After AIMA declares the UGAT results, candidates must apply to their preferred institutes through the respective official websites. Shortlisted applicants then participate in the GD-PI rounds. Candidates who clear the GD-PI process receive provisional admission after submitting the required documents.

AIMA does not conduct centralised counselling. Candidates must apply separately to each shortlisted college and attend counselling with the required original and photocopied documents.

Documents required typically include Class 10 and 12 marksheets, passing certificate, UGAT scorecard, identity proof, passport-size photographs, and category certificate if applicable.

How to Prepare for UGAT 2027: Section-Wise Strategy

For candidates planning the next cycle, a focused preparation approach covers each section efficiently.

English Language responds best to daily reading of editorials and 15 to 20 sentence correction questions daily. Numerical and Data Analysis at the UGAT level covers Class 10 standard arithmetic and basic data interpretation, requiring accuracy rather than speed since the questions aren’t as complex as CAT’s DI section.

Reasoning and Intelligence includes coding-decoding, blood relations, number series, and analogies, topics that improve significantly with consistent daily practice.

General Knowledge demands ongoing effort across current affairs, static GK, and basic business news for the full preparation period.
