Conclusion
XAT 2026 is not just an XLRI exam. It is a gateway to 145-plus colleges across every MBA specialisation, from consulting-focused general management at the top to rural management, healthcare administration, and marketing communications in the specialised bands.
The cutoff landscape spans from 94 percentile at XLRI to below 75 percentile at strong regional institutions. Every band in between contains legitimate, NIRF-ranked, AICTE-approved programmes with verified placement records and specific career domain strengths.
The most effective XAT strategy is a multi-college application approach. Apply to all three tiers. The Rs 200 additional fee per XLRI programme is the lowest marginal cost for the highest potential outcome in Indian management entrance exams.
