What Is Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026?

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 fills seats in all government colleges, government society colleges, RUHS College of Medical Sciences (RUHS CMS) and all private medical colleges of Rajasthan. Half of the seats in the government and government society colleges and RUHS CMS go to the All-India Quota (AIQ), which the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) runs at mcc.nic.in. The other 50% state-quota seats, plus all seats in private medical colleges, are allotted through this state counselling.

Only NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates who register with the Rajasthan board can take part. Registration does not guarantee a seat. Your admission depends on your state merit, your eligibility and document verification. Post MBBS Diploma and Post MBBS DNB seats are open only to regular in-service candidates serving under the Government of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling Choice Filling and Locking

For Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1, the official schedule lists online choice filling and locking from 19 to 29 October 2026. Choices are scheduled to be auto-locked at 11:45 PM on 29 October. The provisional merit list is scheduled for 27 October. Follow the notified choice-filling window and check the portal for any revised instructions.

  • Log in and list only the college-course combinations you would genuinely join, in your true order of preference.
  • Check each college’s previous-year closing rank for your target specialty and use it only as a rough guide.
  • Fill enough choices to cover a safe range, but only seats you would accept. An allotted seat can carry joining obligations, and non-joining after Round 1 can affect your security deposit.
  • Lock your choices yourself before the deadline so you can check the final list. As per the schedule, choices are auto-locked at 11:45 PM on 29 October. Changes are not accepted after locking.

Candidates should follow the choice-filling and locking instructions issued for each round. Review the available seat matrix and arrange college-course preferences carefully before locking choices. Check the latest board notice for instructions about filling fresh choices in subsequent rounds.

Rajasthan NEET PG Seat Matrix

The Rajasthan NEET PG seat matrix lists available seats by college, course and category for the relevant counselling round. The board may publish revised seat matrices as vacancies or approved seat availability change. Always refer to the latest official matrix instead of relying on figures from previous years.

Rajasthan NEET PG Merit List and Cutoff

The board prepares the Rajasthan NEET PG merit list after registration closes, based on your NEET PG 2026 percentile and category. This state merit list works independently of your NEET PG all-India rank — a good all-India rank still needs a state merit list entry to compete for Rajasthan’s quota seats.

The cutoff for each college and specialty depends on the number of seats, applicant volume and category-wise demand that year. Reserved-category cutoffs typically sit lower than general-category cutoffs, and cutoffs for clinical specialties like general medicine or general surgery usually run higher than for para-clinical or non-clinical branches. Use previous years’ closing ranks only as a rough reference, since seat numbers and applicant pools shift every cycle.

Rajasthan NEET PG Seat Allotment Process

The seat allotment process matches your merit list rank, category and locked choice order against the seat matrix for that round. Here’s what happens after allotment:

  1. The board declares the allotment result on the portal, listing your allotted college, course and category.
  2. You download your provisional allotment letter from your login.
  3. You report to the allotted college in person within the reporting window, carrying your original documents.
  4. The college verifies your documents and confirms your admission.

Joining rules differ by round. Round 1 is a free-exit round, but a seat allotted in Round 2 or later must be joined or the security deposit is forfeited. See the security deposit rules above.

Rajasthan NEET PG Reporting Process

For Rajasthan Round 1, the official schedule lists reporting and document verification from 3 to 6 November 2026, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Candidates must follow the notified reporting instructions and report at the allotted college desk at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

The schedule asks candidates to carry original documents, the allotment letter in six copies, the application form in two copies, and two sets of self-attested photocopies, along with the required bonds and other applicable documents. Verify the latest official notice before travelling, as revised instructions may be issued.
